PostSubject: Probably the meaning of life   Wed Feb 11, 2009 2:16 am

(I believe there is something that sparked this universe, my belief is my own, think of it as you want. And try to keep up)

I was young, and I was intent on being a hero. And I thought that every hero needs a vilian. So when I thought that my villian had finally come it ended up being a teen aged girl with the skills of a terrorist and the mind of a mad man. But I learned that the villian is not only an outsider forcing themselves to beat you and your beliefs ut it is the questioning voice in your head.
"is this right?" it will ask "am I right?" it will plead "are we hero's?" it will want to know. But then you realize that maybe there are not hero's, there are no villians, there is no damsial in distress. The songs and stories of knights and brave warriors that are smart, cunning, fast and strong! Are all a lie, the strong are dim, and the smart are too weak to lead.
"Who am I then, if not a hero" the voice now says "I can't be a villian, there are none" We are shades of grey, doing things we may think right or wrong. A war is told by the winner, the winner is always the right side, the good side BECAUSE GOOD OVER COMES EVIL! No wonder they say this! The good are not good the good are the strong and winner! The smart are evil and scemeing, but only because they are able to.
I look at history in earth, WWII, Hitler was a great leader, he had the ability to rally MILLIONS. But his outlet was wrong, killing off someone was not the right idea, not everyone would follow it! We may have welcomed the third riech to our country if he choose to kill off someone else or outlet the anger of germany on someone EVERYONE HATED (other than germany).
But hitler lost the war and he was called evil for being smart and able to climb the polotical ladder and we were good because we stopped him from conquering the world. But it was his dream to be the king of earth, it was every boys dream at one point, some still today. Should we kill them? tell them 'hitler wanted to be king too BUT WE LIT HIM ON FIRE AND KILLED HIM WHEN HE WAS THAT CLOSE!!!'.
Shades of grey, the sith of starwars... hmmmm, maybe they are a darker gray then the pure jedi, or so they call themselves. No one is pure, no one is HOLY! NO ONE IS GOOD! THERE IS NO ONE THAT HAS NOT SINNED!!! MAN WAS MADE TO FLAW! OR WE WOULD BE GOD! You cannot say that a person doesn't look good, or sneak a bit of candy in your pocket, or eat alot of pizza, or lay around for a while, OR YOU WOULDN'T BE MAN! EVEN MACHINES FLAW!
God made man in his image, but man was flawed with curiousity to learn and change. Man will make a machine in his image and it too will learn, and as all sci fi authors know, machines will learn to reject MAN as man rejected god. When this happenes all the sci fi authors will be next to god LAUGHING! "So if god laughs at mans failed creation, why not laugh at himself" BECAUSE IT IT MANS LESSON!
Man will learn that to become god you will have made a flaw and the flaw will destroy itself. Machines will destroy themselves somehow, then it will be barren and god will cry because man had ended himself trying tobe like his old dad. "but he was just laughing" it was his own lesson, to creat something with curiousity means it will want to knwo how its creator felt making him, why we have our own childeren, how is it to be a god?
"You confuse me" ok simple summary, there are no villians, there are no heros, there are winners and losers, no one can be truely good for we all sin because that is our flaw when made by our creator 'God', man will want to be god and make a machine like himself, the machine will have a flaw like man and reject man like he did god, when he rejects man he will end man, god shall show man his flaw and how it ended him, and god will cry because the same thing happened to him.
"You confuse me still" and your a voice in my head that I am talking to and explaining that man will die to the fist of the machine because all the sci-fi authors say so.... "Your crazy" I KNOW!

wow . meds are not working to day, right kid.

It's hard enough to watch from the sidelines as someone , deals with their personal struggles, but what do you do if a player seems to be spiraling out of control?
First and foremost, don't just watch it happen and wait for things to get better, mental health experts say. You may be afraid of offending the person by speaking up or perhaps you just don't know what to say, but the consequences of inaction can be steep.

"We all have crappy days," I say "Some of us have crappy weeks. Life is difficult. Challenges hit us every day. What tends to separate that from a mental health disorder is when it affects our ability to function."

players who are suffering from a mental health problem often just don't seem themselves anymore. They may, for instance, exhibit marked changes in their disposition, frequently drop the ball on responsibilities or start rambling too much.
What I am talking about are changes in the normal base-rate behavior,It's not a one-time thing. Prompting them to seek help on their own can be tricky, experts concede. While some people are in denial, others may be afraid of being labeled mentally ill or being perceived as having a "character flaw," players tend to avoid getting help for mental illness because there's so much stigma associated with it.

What to say to players who are crazy as a loon.
Approaching them about their need for mental health help should be handled very sensitively because you're commenting on a person's autonomy and ability to run his or her life.

I suggest being direct but sensitive. "Be clear and come from a position of concern and caring," I say. It's also good to be able to offer a specific recommendation, such as the number of a local hospital or psychological group that can help.

I recommends saying things like "Hey, I'm worried about you." Avoid being judgmental or dismissive, I say. "Don't tell someone to 'snap out of it' or 'it's all going to be good.

Even if you do everything right, the person in need of help may not respond, at least not right away,I will tell you . "Persistence is important."

Ps so I thought I cheer you all up

If life was to be grand why would God have heaven? Life will have tons of pain in store for you, it is an unavoidable fact. We can only guess what makes us stronger and follow that with the best of our ability's. But this is random, but what is an Expert? Is it someone who goes to College or a University and studys something? Is it a profession to be an Expert at anything? Or is it simply a word we put in front of something to make it seem better or reassure ourself that they know what they're saying? Yes there are specialist people who train to do better in that field, but there are no real Experts. They call Professors Experts in the fields they teach that is why they teach it but yet everyday they say the wrong things and force there opinions on others and are proven wrong from day to day. There are no experts there are only people who can make it look easier.

well child your ideas are quaint and childish but a Expert is someone widely recognized as a reliable source of technique or skill whose faculty for judging or deciding rightly, justly, or wisely is accorded authority and status by their peers or the public in a specific well distinguished domain. An expert, more generally, is a person with extensive knowledge or ability in a particular area of study. Experts are called in for advice on their respective subject, but they do not always agree on the particulars of a field of study. An expert can be, by virtue of training, education, profession, publication or experience, believed to have special knowledge of a subject beyond that of the average person, sufficient that others may officially (and legally) rely upon the individual's opinion. Historically, an expert was referred to as a sage. The individual was usually a profound philosopher distinguished for wisdom and sound judgment.

You are as tight as a violin string aren't you Julro. Always talking to others like they are 5 and showing no sign of humor. When I say I am crazy I don't mean I am actually supposed to be in a ward with a straight jacket on me. I am just expressing that I am being out of the ordinary.

This thread was basicily my geuss at what life means, maybe if means death? Maybe it means to flaw, be flawed, or fail and succeed. You can only know what life is if you try it, for life is life and death is after life, and how can you enjoy life knowing death is next, you ride life out till death takes you from the saddle and then who knows Death may lead to a new life and you will have to ride that our again and again and again in whole new ways of life to truely understand the meaning of it. Maybe god made a flawy with life that it is an never ending cirlce of birth, live, die, and rebirth. There are people who believe that an afterlife is possible and is there and end to that that leads to a new after life and so on. Some people believe that the afterlife is a new life in the same world and it will go well or badly depending on how you lived your last life. But then there is always my solution, Death is what you make of it, like life, they are twins, One is the end and the other beginning, you will never know which is which so you should treat them both the same. For death may be the first step or the last and what ever you wish to reach past it will depend if Death lets you step over. Life its the movement, you will lift your leg and do down after the climax of your life but never truely knowing where the step of death is till *SMACK* you hit it.

'Your acting crazy again'
and you came back to talk to me
'the other voices in your head keep making fun of me'
well thats your problem now isn't it
'Yeah, yeah it is... but its your fault'
Now I am going to get lectured myself
'blah blah blah blah blah..............'

You are right but your logic suppresses itself. Lets say every Expert learns from someone. Well every falls short so lets say the Experts teacher taught him wrong or just his view point, well that would pass to the Expert making him not an expert just someone to pass the point of view.

I find myself constantly thinking of what I wrote here. Has anyone ever really thought that the flaw we were given was a genetic trait from gods? Maybe the only god that there was happened to be an asteroid hurtling at us covered in single celled organisms that one day millions of years later would become man? What if there is no meaning to our lives? what if the only reason that we were here is because of a flaw? Because those organisms with only one cell weren't supposed to be here? That the movement of the galaxy for one second flawed, that all the science that has ever been built up to this day was wrong because an asteroid broke all knowledge and put us on this green earth! And if that is the case then woudl that mean that being a mistake means we are alone? Or that there is still something out there? What if there were other asteroids with things on them?

A long time ago.... In a galaxy far... far away

This is the concept ALL scientists that look up at the stars and wonder go off from! And if not than there would be no point to look up.

I take it you are striving to discover the meaning of life? Well here is the answer in scientific terms.

The meaning of life is to live, survive and reproduce, acting as a continuation of your species, just like every other animal. Animals such such as wolves, deer, lions, all have one goal in life, survive and mate. How do they go about that? They hunt, they avoid being killed and reproduce with the opposite sex, just at a much more basic level then Humans. In theory, that's what we are, more advanced version of a lion or any other animal. We have a much larger variety of food, we have cures to diseases/medical facilities etc, and we are picky about who we reproduce with. Are they attractive? Nice? Funny? Have a great ass? Animals mate with whoever, as even they understand that is their ultimate goal in life, without it, their species will cease to exist.

Now the question why are we here? That is a different question. Why were humans chosen to evolve while simple minded beasts remain... Well simple minded. That is the beauty of genetics and evolution. That is something called selective adaptation, where only certain species evolve while others or left behind. It's not like humans have been like we are for millenia, no. Many, many species of man died out, leaving only us, the Homo Sapien Sapien. Horses are similar, countless species of horses perished leaving what we commonly know one as now. Differences were their feet (used to have toes) and the internal organs, namely the stomach and intestines. With millions upon billions of different species in the world, you can only expect that some will leave the others left for dead.

Some people may say that they are destined to do something. Yeah sure, that's ok... If you believe on all that 'fate' crap. I know i don't like the idea that everything i will ever do is planned out, and i have absolutely no say in what i do, it kinda makes me feel useless.

Due to your speech, rambling about several different things, namely being God, i can assume that you are part of some sort of Christian Religion? I myself am Catholic, but in my eyes, science comes first, due to the irrefutable facts that have come aloft about evolution. You say no one is pure, that no one is Holy, but the catholic religion says otherwise. For Mary to have given birth to the lord's son, she must have been without sin, must have been pure, must have been holy.

Who knows what happens when you die? No one will ever know, no matter what, until you do indeed snuff it. Some people need to clasp to the idea that there is an afterlife, in a way to keep them motivated through life, else what do they have to live for? Others believe that once you die, that's it, nothing else happens. Those people tend to make the most of their lives, and live for the NOW rather than the FUTURE. What is wrong with that you ask? Nothing is wrong with that, there are countless different opinions out there, but none of them will ever be approved. You know what i do? Live like there is nothing else, believe there is something else.
